July 30, 2006, 3:28 pmWell I came back nice and refreshed after a great week away. I see Alan didn't crash our website or anything.Alan is keeping busy even the his 2 kids are now off school on the summer break. Here are a couple of shots showing you what he has been working on. First off, here is a sketch of Marv from Sin City. and here is a lovely pencil sketch of his daughter Harley Quinn which is a commission for a dance school. We were out drinking the other night and came up with some ideas of things we will be looking at in the future. One of them, a Refer a friend scheme was an idea that we are really keen to try and take forward just as soon as we can work out how to incorporate it into the shop part of our site. I'll keep you posted when we've got it figured out. posted by Jason 0 comments --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- July 17, 2006, 7:42 pmGrrrrr Alan here. This is my second attempt after accidently deleting my first go. Anyway Jason is on holiday so I've been left with the simple task of updating the blog. It would be simple of course, if I could upload some pictures or have some fantastic interesting news to impart. As I can't upload images at present I will impart some not so interesting news instead. At the moment I am preping the Clockwork Orange and a '68 Mustang commission for painting and will upload some pictures once painting is underway. Postal charges are due to rise in August. We are hoping (if we could only find out accurately what the new charges will be for us) not to increase our postal costs. I think we only have a couple of General Lees left before they are gone forever. Now what film car painting should I do next..... Bullitts Mustang, Kowalskis Challenger or perhaps Boppers MFP ???? posted by Jason 0 comments --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- July 12, 2006, 9:34 amThe latest additions to the 2006 Collection have been added to the online shop. They are Aeon Flux (phwooaaarrr), Frodo (actually looking a bit hard rather than a troubled little Hobbit with the fate of Middle Earth on his shoulders!) and Reservoir Dogs (Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right). Also, I will be going on a lovely holiday on Friday which will mean that i will be handing over control of the blogging to Alan. I know that you'll probably miss the informative and somewhat funny missives that I write on here, but do not worry, I will only be gone for a week. posted by Jason 0 comments --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- July 07, 2006, 12:10 pm:: VOTING HAS NOW CLOSED ::The winner of the third competition was The Clockwork Orange with 47% of the 5790 votes cast. Disappointment at the England result in the World Cup.We had some fun on Friday night trying to hustle people at pool and going to bed absolutely s*** faced at about 1.00am on Saturday morning knowing fulwell that we would have to be up at 6.00 to set up our stand. Saturday was indeed a long day. Thought I'd show you a couple of snaps that we took. First one is the stand (with Alan) Closely followed up with the signings that Alan had done. Elijah Wood took a 2 minute break from his conveyor belt style of signing to sign Alans sketch of The Guy from SpyKids 3D for his daughter Harley Quinn and also to sign our new Frodo print (now available in the shop. and here also is the Luke and Leia print signed by Carrie Fisher (who, lets face it starred in Star Wars 30 years ago!!! You know what I'm saying!!!) Thanks to everyone who came along to see us and we'll see some more more of you at the next show in Manchester. posted by Jason 0 comments --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
