I've just had a fiddle with the blogger thing and got it to say who's posted what. Now you can tell that the interestingly funny stuff with an intelectual twist is mine and the not so funny stupid stuff is alans - although it won't work on posts made before today - i can't be bothered to go through and edit all the posts.

Anyway, I'm back from my holidays and can't wait to see Alans new Top Gun painting.

Tonights second post. we are very busy getting everything ready for the London Film and Comic Convention at the moment. We will be showing a number of original paintings including Aliens and Resevoir Dogs. I will try and remember to take some photos of the stand this time, if I remember my camera.

There will be some number one prints available (Luke with saber and Boba Fett), as well as the last remaining print of a couple of sold out items. Ermmm.... that would be The Grudge, Trinity and the MFP cars I think. Please note we can only carry limited stock so if there is anything you are particularly coming to collect let us know.

From now on you will have the pleasure of both myself and Jase contibuting to the blog, probably at odds with each other. So if he starts with his "I think Maverick. Iceman etc from Top Gun would make a great painting" don't listen to him.

Sorry to say The reanimator painting is still not finished........but here's what is!!!!

These prints are available to buy from our ebay shop, starting with number one!!!! We will get them on site over the next couple of days, hopefully.

Its the latest competition entry to show you from Peter O and his home cinema room. I must get myself one of those sabers (if only they were really real).

So what's new. Well last night I was sittng half watching the T.V. when a trail came on for Match of the Day. Although I wasn't paying attention I could hear the voice over and backing track. The backing track seemed vaguely familiar, a strong bass line with 4 chord guitar riff.

Oh My God..... 3 years ago I went to see a band a friend had started to manage, play their first ever gig. I think there must have been about 15 of us in attendance and that included the other acts. They were already fairly polished after spending a lot of time writing and practising in a recording studio. My mate gave me a load of their demo stuff. I saw the band 4 or so times after that but lost contact with them and my friend after he moved to another job. I was supposed to be painting their portrait and was given a ton of images to work from but never got around to it. My favourite track of theirs was Loco and is the number one track on the first CD in my car....... so there it was backing the trail to Match of the Day.. Unbelieivable....

After a search on the net I am pleased to see the band seemed to have found some success, with both singles and an album out as well as appearing at Glastonbury this year. So look out for THE RIPPS...... I wonder if they still want me to paint their portrait.

Anyway enough about that. here is something that should please at least one person out there. Hi Jodie! Say hello to your latest friend.......

Ah ha... so much for my daily post. I have an excuse. I was away in London. Anyway here are a couple of competition entries from Adrian first and then Gareth.

Important News. We will be exhibiting at the London Film and Comic Convention at Earl's Court London on the 1st and 2nd of September. I am aiming to take some new and old paintings there as well as unveiling some new prints. At the moment I can reveal that the Transporter and the A Team van prints will be available for the first time there along with (fingers crossed) a Stormtrooper. I am also hoping to complete Herbert West, Reanimator in time as well. I am trying to see if I can hand paint each print with either dayglo or florescent paint. If you are familiar with the movie then you will know why and what I am intending to paint on each print.

So what I have I been looking at this week...... Red band trailers of 30 Days of Night, Shoot 'Em Up and Resident Evil Extinction. Definately could see me painting something from Shoot 'Em Up. Also saw the trailer for Death Sentance. Kevin Bacon with shaved head, John Goodman and guns... hopefully it will be good enough and warrant a painting. Anyway off to the pub so until tomorrow......

Hello it's Alan here. I will be taking over the blog for the next two weeks while your regular host, Jason, is sunning himself on holiday. I will apologise now for any typos and will try and keep the blog updated daily. Tomorrow I will give an update on painting progress and let you know what I'm working on now. For now here is the latest competition entry, it's from Ben. Unfortunately the rules prevent me from talking about it.......

Today seems to be Mad Max day. First is an entry from Matthew Brown with a print of Alan's first Mad Max painting. The second from Jed shows good use of 3 of the Mad Max mini prints.
